"The Master and Apprentice" - Eberhard E. Engel (2008)
A woman, who is not happy with her love life at the moment, seeks a change in her life. She meets a man who gives her a opportunity to change, and she takes it; even though it will change her life forever. During this change (into a vampire, or demon of the night) she actually falls in love with her master, but does not realize it until later. She accepts her change for a brief moment, but then realized what she did was wrong.
She seeks her original lovers warmth, and he tries to make her believe there is a way out, but it fails with her killing him in the name of what she is.
After her original lovers death, and reason for becoming a vampire, she turns to faith redeem her life. However the angels and god above are not quite ready to forgive her for what she has done. She is forced into watching her love die in her arms telling him, "I will remember you".
So the woman (the apprentice) felt abandoned by her master, now seeks revenge for her lovers death, along with her state of immortality. This leads up the final battle between the master and apprentice.
After speaking in tongues, as most people do, the apprentice begins to realize that she really is no different then her master, and that she is in love with him. But by that time it is too late, and she must still deliver the final blow to him. As the final battle ends she strikes down her master, only herself to fall by his blade as well. As she lay dying, her final words are of hope and belief in love. After all of that, the final theme of music play is that of the Master, who rises from the dead, as only a stake to the heart, or a blade of silver can kill a vampire.
